about mrces

trusted local electricians in the South West since 1981
MRCES is a locally owned electrical business serving Margaret River and the South West since 1981.
The business was founded by Ian Earl, with a focus on doing solid electrical work, treating people fairly and building long-term relationships in the community. Today, MRCES continues under the leadership of Ian and Mike Earl, with the same standards that built its reputation.
For more than four decades, we’ve supported homes, businesses and worksites with straightforward electrical work done properly. No over-selling, no shortcuts, just reliable service backed by experience and local knowledge.

our history
Ian Earl started MRCES in 1981, working locally and building the business through word of mouth and consistent, reliable work.
As the South West grew, so did the business. Under Ian and Mike Earl, MRCES expanded to support residential, commercial and industrial electrical work, appliance repairs, communications, security systems and 24/7 emergency call outs.
While technology and systems have evolved, the way the business operates has stayed the same. Turn up when promised, do the work properly and stand by it.

our team
The strength of MRCES is its people.
Our team includes experienced local electricians, apprentices and support staff, many of whom have grown up and trained in the region.
Training has always been part of the business. Over 80 apprentices have come through MRCES, learning the trade properly and building long-term careers in the South West.
That depth of experience means jobs are diagnosed accurately, work is shared efficiently and there’s always someone available when it matters.

how we work
We keep things straightforward.
- Clear communication from the first call
- Practical advice based on real experience
- Clean, careful work carried out safely
- No unnecessary upselling
If something’s urgent, we act quickly. If it needs planning, we explain the process. If it’s not worth doing, we’ll tell you.
part of the local community
MRCES has always been part of the South West community.
Ian, Mike and the wider team have supported local schools, clubs and community groups for decades, and many of our electricians live, work and raise families in the region.
We’re not just working here. We belong here.
