Vasse has boomed, and there’s a new home going up on every second corner. If you’re building or moving into one, a bit of thinking about the electrical side now saves you money and hassle later. As your local electrician in Vasse (yep, we’ve just opened a depot in town), here’s where we’d start.
More power points than you think you need
Every single time, people wish they’d put in more. They’re cheap and easy at build stage and a real pain to add once the walls are closed up. Think kitchen bench, the study nook, the garage, and a couple outside for the BBQ and the Christmas lights.
The stuff new homes actually run on now
It’s not just lights and power anymore. Data points for a home office, decent Wi-Fi coverage, a tidy spot for the TV that isn’t a tangle of cords, and increasingly a place set aside for an EV charger. Plan for it early, even if you add the charger down the track.
Don’t skip the safety bits
Safety switches and compliant smoke alarms aren’t optional, and a new build is the easy time to get them right. We’ll make sure it all meets the WA rules and passes without drama.
We’re local now, so give us a shout
We’ve wired homes across the South West since 1981, and with the Vasse depot we’re right on your doorstep. Get us in while it’s still on the plan and we’ll point out the gotchas before the concrete’s poured. Call 08 9758 7612 or find us at mrces.com.au.
